Call to Worship

March 20, 2011

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28

Even in the midst of a busy day with a pile of work facing us, most people will take time out to eat.  Eating rejuvenates us, gives us strength, gives us a break—a rest—from our labors for a short while.

Don’t be deceived into believing that this week you don’t have time to stop and eat with Jesus.  Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you have too much to do, you’re too tired, you need to get things done first.  The rest you are longing for, the strength for the task, are waiting for you at the feet of Jesus.  Put aside your cares, your work, your worries, and your burdens.  Come to the table and fellowship with your God.
