Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth! Psalm 96:7-9
I love to use exclamation points. My emails, facebook posts, (and probably Calls to Worship!) are filled with exclamation points. When I can’t talk face-to-face and punctuate my words with hand gestures, smiles, raised eyebrows, and voice inflection, I want to make sure my hearers/readers comprehend what it is that I want to emphasize!
I can almost feel what the psalmist was feeling as he penned these words. “Everyone—this is important!!!!! Listen up!!!! There is nothing (absolutely nothing!) that you could be doing that is more important than this! Here are the steps to worshipping the Almighty God! The One and Only! How can I make you understand how important this is?!?!?!?!?!?!”
Come to worship this week with a heart full of exclamation points!
