Call to Worship
August 8, 2010
One of the most pleasing ways that we can praise the Lord is by using His own words. Many of my favorite songs are those that quote directly from the scripture.
To prepare for worship this week, you may want to read Psalms 146 through 150. Each of these psalms begins and ends with “Praise the Lord!”
Here are some excerpts for you to praise the Lord with: Psalm 146:1&2 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, I tell myself. I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God even with my dying breath. Psalm 147:1 Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God! How delightful and how right! Psalm 149:1 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. And finally, Psalm 150:6 Let everything that lives sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!
